Fusetti Cacao is a unique take on the Italian bitter aperitif Fusetti, combining its characteristic bitter style with cocoa and orange. The edition was first launched in 2021 as a limited edition and proved so popular with bartenders and connoisseurs that production was doubled to a total of 3,786 bottles. Due to sustained demand, the manufacturer ultimately decided to add Fusetti Cacao to its permanent range. The production process utilises cocoa and orange infusions, which lend additional depth to the classic bitter base. This results in a smoother yet still distinctive character that ensures Fusetti’s typical bitterness does not fade into the background.

With an alcohol content of 25 per cent in the 0.7-litre bottle, Fusetti Cacao Bitter was developed for both creative cocktail applications and for enjoying neat. Cocoa provides a warm, intense element, whilst orange offers a fruity contrast and complements the characteristic bitter profile. This variant is particularly well-suited to Negroni variations, after-dinner cocktails and winter drinks, where cocoa and bitter flavours can be deliberately combined. Visually, too, this variant stands out from the rest of the Fusetti range: Fusetti Cacao is the only version with a black label, thereby emphasising the bottling’s distinctive character.
