Planteray Rum Navy MISTER FOGG N° 2 is a limited-edition blended rum, created as a tribute to the famous fictional character Phileas Fogg from Jules Verne’s *Around the World in 80 Days*. With an alcohol content of 55.7% vol. in a 0.7-litre bottle, this Navy Rum combines selected distillates from several renowned Rum Nations to create an exceptionally complex blend. The individual rums come from Barbados, Trinidad, Guyana, Mauritius and Jamaica, reflecting the international spirit of exploration that Phileas Fogg embodies. The blend is crafted by Maison Ferrand in France, which is renowned for its meticulous cask selection and innovative ageing techniques.

The blend comprises 34 per cent rum from Stade’s West Indies Rum Distillery (Barbados), 35 per cent from Trinidad Distillers Ltd. (Trinidad), 20 per cent from Diamond Distillery (Guyana), 6 per cent from Saint Aubin (Mauritius) and 5 per cent from Long Pond and Clarendon Distillery (Jamaica). The individual distillates are first matured under tropical conditions in their countries of origin before being brought together in France. There, they undergo further maturation on the continent, followed by a finish in used cognac, wine, whisky and American bourbon casks, as well as in open wooden vats. This multi-stage maturation process ensures additional depth and a harmonious balance. The name ‘Navy Rum’ is a nod to the historic rum rations of the British Navy. The rum is bottled at cask strength (55.7% vol.) and contains a small amount of caramel colouring to harmonise the colour.
