Barceló Organic Ron Dominicano Limited Production is an organic rum from the Dominican Republic, produced by Ron Barceló, which focuses on more sustainable sugarcane production. It is made from sugarcane juice derived from organically grown sugarcane, cultivated in selected fields under controlled conditions. This sets this bottling apart from many classic molasses rums. Following distillation, the rum is matured in oak casks, which adds additional cask notes to the original sugarcane character. The Barceló Organic is produced in limited quantities and combines the Dominican producer’s many years of experience with a production concept consistently focused on the origin of the raw materials.

At 37.5% ABV in a 0.7-litre bottle, Barceló Organic Rum is a well-balanced example of the Dominican rum tradition. Ron Barceló was founded in 1930 by Julián Barceló and is now one of the Dominican Republic’s internationally renowned rum producers. For the Organic range, the focus is particularly on controlled production, from sugarcane cultivation right through to the finished rum. The combination of organic sugar cane, sugar cane juice as the raw material, cask maturation and limited production forms the key distinguishing feature of this bottling. Within the ‘delicando’ classification system, Barceló Organic is categorised as a blended rum and not as a single cask rum or rum-based spirit.
