The brandy takes its name from the historic title of Gran Duque D'Alba. It is produced using selected wine distillates, which are then aged according to the traditional Criaderas-y-Solera method. In this process, younger and older brandies are gradually blended across several rows of casks, resulting in a continuous ageing process. As a Brandy de Jerez Solera Gran Reserva, this bottling belongs to the highest ageing category within the Protected Designation of Origin and represents a particularly long-aged and complex style.

The Gran Duque D'Alba is aged in traditional American oak sherry casks, known as ‘botas’, which previously held Oloroso sherry. It is precisely this cask ageing that shapes its characteristic style, blending mature brandy notes with the influence of dry, full-bodied sherry. This premium Spanish brandy is bottled at 40% in a 0.7-litre bottle. The combination of D.O.
