Dingle Original Gin is a characterful London Dry Gin from Ireland, produced at the Dingle Distillery on the Dingle Peninsula in County Kerry. The distillery’s aim was to create a distinctive gin that combines the classic tradition of the London Dry style with selected botanicals from the Irish countryside. Alongside juniper, the blend includes rowan berries, hawthorn berries, orange and lemon peel, and heather, amongst others. The carefully curated blend of botanicals is first macerated in alcohol for 24 hours before distillation takes place. During distillation, the various botanical elements are blended into a balanced whole, with classic juniper and fresh citrus notes taking centre stage.

The unique recipe and artisanal production methods have also earned Dingle Gin great international acclaim. At the 2019 World Gin Awards, it was named World’s Best London Dry Gin and also received the overall title of World’s Best Gin 2019. The use of regionally inspired botanicals such as hawthorn, rowan berries and heather forges a link to the landscape of County Kerry and gives the gin a distinctively Irish identity. With an alcohol content of 42.5 per cent, Dingle Original Gin offers sufficient body to allow the juniper, citrus peel and other botanicals to come through clearly, both when enjoyed neat and in classic gin drinks.
