This bottling is produced by the Depaz distillery, whose estate lies at the foot of the Montagne Pelée volcano near Saint-Pierre. The sugarcane grown there benefits from the region’s volcanic soils and tropical climate. After the freshly harvested sugarcane has been processed and distilled, the rum is given ample time to mature, allowing the characteristic Agricole style to blend with the influences of the wood.
