The Tomintoul Distillery, located in the Scottish Highlands in the Cairngorms National Park and named after the nearby village of Tomintoul, opened its doors in 1964 and is now owned by Angus Dundee Distillers.

At an altitude of 370 meters above sea level, Tomintoul is Scotland's second highest distillery, surpassed only by the Braeval Distillery, founded in 1973. Although the majority of the 3.2 million liters of alcohol produced annually is exported to the United States for blends, Tomintoul regularly releases special single cask bottlings.

The Tomintoul 16 Years Old, matured in carefully selected bourbon casks, is characterized by a maturation period of 16 years, which allows it to develop its distinctive aromas and balanced taste. This whisky is produced by the fourth generation of distillers, working under the direction of Robert Fleming, who brings his extensive knowledge and experience to the production process.
