Linie Aquavit Authentic is an exceptional Norwegian aquavit, renowned for its distinctive maturation method. With an alcohol content of 41.5% ABV, it offers a perfect balance between spicy herbal notes and a smooth, aged depth. Its unique character stems from an elaborate aging process: The aquavit first matures in oak barrels previously used for sherry. Subsequently, it embarks on a sea voyage of at least four months across the equator ("Linie" means the line of the equator), where it is exposed to climatic influences of temperature and humidity fluctuations – a tradition that makes it unmistakable worldwide.

The carefully selected botanicals include caraway, star anise, coriander, fennel, and orange and lemon peels, which give it its warm, spicy, and slightly sweet note. The barrel aging also imparts subtle vanilla, wood, and sherry nuances, making it particularly smooth and harmonious.
