Founded in 1995 by Hans Reisetbauer, the Reisetbauer distillery has established itself in Axberg, Upper Austria. A special characteristic of the distillery is its focus on sustainable agriculture: all raw materials needed for production are organically grown and harvested in their own fields. The entire process, from bottling and labeling to packaging the bottles, is done manually and with the utmost care. With the entry of Hansi Junior, the company underwent a modernization reflected in new packaging, labels, and brand name designs, thus combining tradition and innovation.

For the production of Reisetbauer Blue Gin Austrian Vintage Gin, the Mulan wheat variety, specially grown in Upper Austria, is used. To preserve the fine aromas, the gin is distilled using the gentle pot-still method.

This Austrian gin is distinguished by its vintage characteristic, with the vintage indicating the year of distillation. The Blue Gin is distilled exclusively once a year, between February and May. This underscores its status as a vintage gin and rightly justifies the designation. Availability is limited, meaning that once a vintage is sold out, enthusiasts must wait until the next year to enjoy this special gin.
