In the late 1990s, a group of friends had the ambitious plan to establish the first whisky distillery in Wales for over a century. Their goal was to create a whisky as pure and precious as Welsh gold. In 2004, on St. David's Day, this dream became a reality when Penderyn Whisky was born. The distillery owes its uniqueness, among other things, to the copper still designed by Dr. David Faraday, featuring a special pot still. It is located in the village of Penderyn, at the southern end of the Brecon Beacons. The pure spring water from the region significantly contributes to the quality of the exceptional Penderyn whiskies.

Penderyn Sherrywood Single Malt Welsh Whisky first matures in carefully selected ex-Bourbon casks before receiving its distinctive finish in ex-Oloroso sherry casks. Through this double maturation, Penderyn Sherrywood gains depth and complexity, making it a harmonious and elegant pleasure.
