In 1968, a time of social unrest in Paris, Laurent-Perrier launched a significant innovation with its Cuvée Rosé. This occurred during a period when rosé champagne was not yet widespread or fashionable.

For the production of Cuvée Rosé, only Pinot Noir grapes are used, sourced from carefully selected sites. These grapes are sorted and destemmed before the fermentation process. The subsequent maceration lasts between 48 and 72 hours and significantly contributes to the development of its characteristic aromas. With a storage potential of about five years, the wine is sealed with a natural cork.

The elegant shield-shaped bottle, in which the champagne is presented, features a 17th-century design inspired by the era of Henry IV. At a champagne tasting in October 2009, organized by Weinwirtschaft magazine, this Rosé received an outstanding 91 out of 100 points.
