The Dictador Icon Reserve 20 Years is distilled from the fermentation of native "Sugar Cane Honey" – a honey-like sugarcane syrup that, unlike molasses, is obtained directly from fresh sugarcane juice. Distillation takes place partly in traditional copper pot stills and partly in stainless steel tanks, using the column distillation process. This method gives the rum a medium body and a pleasantly aromatic note. Maturation takes place in American oak barrels, which ensures that all aromas are optimally brought out.

A special feature of Dictador rum is that it is not subsequently sweetened, as is common with many mainstream rums. Instead, it has a natural, subtle sweetness that is wonderfully harmonious.

The miniature of Dictador XO Insolent Rum offers the perfect opportunity to try it. Made from "Virgin Sugar Cane Honey", it is distilled in modern stainless steel alembics. It then matures in reused oak barrels from Jerez and Portugal, where sweet aromas caramelize into the rum, giving it its complex, deep note.
