The Winkler-Hermaden Olivin 2021 is an expressive red wine from Southeast Styria, counted among the top wines of the traditional Winkler-Hermaden winery. With its impressive 3-liter size in a noble wooden box, it presents itself as a wine for special occasions and festive moments. The 33rd vintage of this exceptional wine is based on the Blauer Zweigelt grape, which thrives on the mineral-rich soils around the Kapfensteiner Kogel. Named after the semi-precious olivine gemstone, found as an inclusion in the basalt rock of this region, this wine symbolizes the connection between earth, wood, and vines – a true terroir unique.


The grapes were carefully hand-picked from September 23 to 29, 2020, and after gentle vinification, crafted into a wine that impresses with its finesse and power. It was aged for 24 months in barriques made from Kapfenstein oak, giving the Olivin its distinctive spice, depth, and structure. It was bottled on May 25, 2023, and has been available since September 1, 2023. With an alcohol content of 14% Vol., a dry finish, and the winery's organic-biological practices – also vegan – it embodies the highest quality and sustainability.
